According to a recent survey 94% of businesses in the North East have suffered some form of crime and/or disorder within the previous 12 months, with 62% being repeat victims.

The effects on the businesses vary but can cause them severe disruption or at worst can even put them out of business.

It is important that firms look at their practices in relation to deterring criminals, detecting their activity, preventing them succeeding and if it comes to the worst, recovering from an incident that has caused serious disruption. Our members have reported that whilst they want to do just that, the normal daily routines of meeting targets, deadlines and budgets take priority.

With this in mind, we are working with the Tyne and Wear Fire Brigade and one of our sponsors, Reliance Security, to promote a short Business Continuity Management Seminar on 29th September at the Quality Hotel, Boldon starting at 09.00.
